With your help, our libraries – in every neighborhood of the city – have been experiencing a renaissance, and with the upcoming modernization of the MLK Library, we look forward to becoming one of the best libraries in the nation. At this event, we will be celebrating our successes and looking forward toward the future. By supporting this event, you will be making a powerful statement about the importance of the District's libraries as centers of learning, literacy and economic empowerment, and your tax-deductible donation will ensure that library programs will continue to grow, in every neighborhood and Ward throughout the city.

This must-attend event will feature delicious food and drink, scenes from your favorite children's stories, local D.C. artists and celebrities and the opportunity to support the DC Public Library Foundation and the Library's critical reading and literacy programs like Story Time. While the city provides critical operational funding for the Library, the Foundation enables DCPL to meet unanticipated needs, pilot new programs, and attract other philanthropic support.
