It’s been quite a year for our city and our country, but we at the DC Public Library Foundation have been so inspired by the DC Public Library’s work to help us all survive and thrive during these challenging times. As we fight COVID-19, our libraries have emerged as a critical foundational partner for our schools, our public health officials, and our economic recovery efforts, managing to serve thousands of residents, from children to adult learners to job-seekers and seniors, despite branches shutting down for in-person services.
We need your help to continue to expand, promote, and adapt these critical programs that benefit families and communities in every ward of the city.
